Split car speaker wires

Hey. I haven't found a solution yet to connect my mp3 player to my car speakers (don't say FM transmiter/modulator pleaseeee).

My question it's simple. Can i SPLIT the wires that go to the Head-Unit, and make two ways. One to the Head-Unit like initially, and the other wire with a jack female ?

Please i only want know if i can do that. All other options i've already considered and are not possible. I have a close MOST Volvo HU that can't be taken off.

Can i split my speaker wires to do that ?

Unless it has an aux input there isn't much you can do except for the things you listed.

if you split your wires & it doesn't work what are you going to do then?

if your deck has aux or maybe you should have someone look @ your deck before you mess it up.

Crimp them back together.

because the car won't start without the headunit, it's part of the car "brain"

unfortunately you came to the wrong forum sir. 90% of the folks on here likely do not know what MOST is. As for your situation your best bet is to give the folks over at Nav-TV a call and see if they have something or plan to have something in the works for your car soon. They make alot of MOST interfaces for other vehicles so if anybody can help you they can

If your car has a pocket holder type thing in the dash you could probably fit a HU in there.
