Splicing remote wire?

Just wondering if it is a no no to splice the remote wire to switch two amps on.

I ran the remote wire from the fuse box back to the extra cab. Spliced it and ran one to the component speaker amp, then the other to the sub amp.

the component amp is working fine, but the sub amp is not comming on.

I think its the power wires, but not sure yet. I am hoping its not a good ground and easy fix

but I do have the power wire comming from a fuse block to a cap, then from the cap to the sub amp. which may also be the problem.

check your fuses on you component amp. i've ran into the same probblem before. i checked wiring for about an hour then just happened to glance at the fuses to see that they where blown.

connect a wire from the remote terminal of one of your amp to the other. easiest way to do it. you dont have to splice the wire.

agreed. run your remote to your first amp, then daisy chain it over to the other, pick wherever you want to put in your switch and let it rip.
