SPL Meter

Is this even worth thinking about:

http://www.splmeter.com/

I just don't have the money for a TL, and I can't seem to find a shop in MN that has a meter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I don't plan on competing, but I thought it'd be fun to have to play with.

If anyone has experience with this thing, how does it compare (reading's-wise) to the new TL?

if u did a search, your not the only one that is wondering about the accuracy. no one really bought it, and tested it upon a TL meter. If you buy it, send it over, and let me do quick tests between that meter and my TL and ill make a review about the results.

lmfao the boom stick. hahahah that shit is 20 bucks, rather put that 20 bucks for GAS!

agreed but it wont fill my tank //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

yeah, does anyone have accurate correction numbers for the boomstick?

for $20 i'd be interested in getting it, and seeing what it says. like if it gives me a 138, and it's ~5dB high, then i'd know i'm somewhere in the low 130's. i'm not looking for any type of accurate reading, but knowing what i'm hitting (to within a few dB's) would be nice.

i think i'll just keep searching for a real meter in my area.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif there's a scosche model spl meter thats about 7-10 dbs lower than a TL

du u mean the scosche SPL1000 from walmrt 7-10db!! if that is true

than I am hitting about 133 to 136db!!!

hehe I have the SPL1000 for fun and I can hit 129.8 with 2 6.5's (playing "late night tip" the instamental and the windows down)

I bought it to do some simple sound deadning project tests on my car. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
