Spiders hitting cone?

Heres 2 pics. No idea why their so ******* long...

making use of double postage......

that's not the spider...the spider is the black thing under the cone that is glued onto the VC fromer on the ID and the basket on the OD, thos things hitting the cone are tinsel leads but i dont thing they are making any noise unless your pushing the speakers past it's intended use

 
Yeah those are not spiders, they're called "tinsel leads" which carries power from the terminal to the voice coil. A spider is that black ribbed round thing that moves up and down with the speaker cone. They're that long so it doesn't get ripped out when you turn it up.

The is what you do... get a piece of foam and cut out a rectangle that's a little longer than the distance between the two tinsel leads and glue the foam piece to behind the speaker cone where the wires are hitting.
