Need help, in mountig 6.5 speakers. The speaker is too deep for the original hole. Does anyone know how I can mount them in a Chevy S-10 door?

if there is any space between the speaker and the door panel you can add a spacer whether its one my have to make from mdf or you may be able to find one at a car audio shop.find out how deep hte mounting depth is on the speakers ,the one in your s-10 is between 11/8'' to 21/8'' depinding on year and if its a pick up above 93 model

oops forget all of that since your putting them in the doors (the depths i gave you was for the dash) i geuss you cut a hole or one was there already you will have to measure the depth with the window down then make your spacer with those measurements.

be sure to make the spacer alittle bigger so you wont have any probs with the window rubbing.

hey just noticed your in houston too what part of town are you in . im in stafford out by sugarland.if you need some help or tools to cut this stuff let me know i have a rotozip that makes this stuff pretty easy.
