Profile AP1000 2-Channel Amp

Wired correctly....

Turned the radio on, got a loud popping noise....

Turned the radio off and then back on.

Slight clicking noise from the tweeter and a burning smell.

Looked at the components, still wired properly, switched crossovers, no change...then took another midbass woofer and wired it to the other crossover...still no response...just a slight bit of music and a whole lot of static coming from the tweeter, absolutely nothing from the midbass.

Nope, amplifier works fine.

I have yet to snip the right and left speaker wires coming from the connector in the back of the HU to the wiring harness if that could be the problem.

Hook one of the speakers DIRECTLY to the amp with-out putting in in the mounting spot. WHAT DO YOU GET? If you get the same response, its your amp RCA ground IMO
