Alright, I have a Teac AG-D8900 receiver, a set of Onkyo surround speakers, including a powered sub.
The sub only has a bass adjustment knob, line in, and power cord. When my sub is hooked up to the subwoofer pre-out on the back of the receiver, it doesn't turn on... ever. I've gone through all settings, turned all speakers on and off, changed front/center/surround to small and large, and even turned the subwoofer on and off through the receiver, nothing. But yet, if I plug the RCA cable into like, Audio 1 out, and change from Pro Logic to stereo, it plays, but then I lose surround.
My receiver gets the sound from my computer via an optical cable, and video from s-video. Would that have a problem when the subs pre-out is RCA? My DVD player uses regular RCA sound inputs, and it still doesn't turn on unless I plug it into the audio out, but yet again, I lose Pro Logic. Could it be a faulty pre-out?
