Speakers hissing...

Ok so the other day out of the blue my comps started hissing(engine noise or what not) and i have no clue what made it happen..i haven't tinkered with any of my setting or whatnot. It's getting to the point where it's really annoying, the first thing that came to mind..is the rca wires were ran on the driver side near the gas pedal...so i changed that to passenger side...didn't help at all. Then i check my ground on the amp....still in tact just like day one.

What else could be the cause of this, seeing as it just now started out of the blue, not as if it's been there from day one. It is really pissing me off and i want it stopped...

Could it be RCA wires gone bad?

Ground on headunit lost connection?

any help would be appreciated.

Is it a whine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/bawling.gif.6287aa5d1d447c8af063fc9466e822ef.gif or a hiss //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif ? Does it get louder when you rev engine? Is your head unit sharing a ground with anyone else? If it is whine relax it can be cured.

i guess it's more of a whine sound, only does it when the car is on...if the key is turned over..it will not do it. Sometimes it will get louder when i rev the engine...sometimes it goes away at certain rpm's.

nevermind i searched around here and found the problem, faulty ground wires. which is pretty much what i thought, but wasnt sure.

Grounded my head unit to a piece of bare metal instead of it going through the wire harness and whant not...and i need to get a new screw, for my amp ground, and a new location, it's not bare metal underneath the car, it's painted underneath...and i can't reach it to scrape it.

and also my amp has some sort of knobs on it to reduce engine noise so i toyed with those untill i can fix the amp ground.

Also i need to upgrade the big 3 so everything under the hood can ground more efficently.

floor pan? where the tire is located ? i have it grounded to the metal of the trunk floor right now, not spare tire location just the floor. I've thought about moving it to either where the strut comes up and mounts in the trunk..or under the spare tire...just underneath the car it looks as if it has been sprayed with some kind of black teflon or some shit, so it's prolly not grounding very efficently.

that is what it's grounded on now, it's also the part of the trunk that on the underside of it (underneath the car)has what looks like black sprayed on teflon.
