Speakers for new SUV

Picked up a 98 Infiniti QX4 with 130K on the clock. Starting to plan the audio system in this beast. Ill probably end up with the Pioneer P80 for the headunit.

As of now it has the Bose "Premium" junk in it. Tweeters are in the A pillars and 6 3/4" speakers in each door. I want to have everything looking as stock as possible since this thing is dang near mint condition. I think I may try something new and was thinking about running the Vibe Space6 3 way front stage. Anyone have any suggestions?

Sub stage will be my pair of Adire Audio Koda 8" subs or my DC Level 2 8".

any vibe speaker is much better than bose crap. but of course no one really old believes it lulz.

the factory amp will push them well though.

I'm assuming you're gonna go active so you should try those Peerless Exclusive HDS mids I had. I think you'll like em. Pair em with some compact Seas Neos or Diamond tweets to keep the stock look and I'll bet it'll be pretty hard to touch for the price...hard to touch period IMO.

I think Ill probably give the LPG 26NA tweeters a try. I had the 25NFA's and loved them.

For mids still have no idea.

Amp also have no idea. Cant decide if I want to run another 5/6 channel or a small 4 channel and a mono.

HU will most likely end up being a Pioneer P80. Any other suggestions here for something with iPod controls? BT would be nice, but not a must. I kind of want it to look natural in the dash board. The top is the climate control, the bottom is the double din sized player. I was thinking maybe an older Alpine HU. The 98 QX4 dash looks like this:

If you're gonna run the 26NA's be sure to use a mid that can play pretty high.

The 26NA's really seem best above 4 or 5khz. You can push em to 3.15khz with a steep slope, but at high volumes they sound a little strained IMO and sometimes will start to distort.

That was my only issue with the LPG's, getting them to play fairly low. Other than that, I've yet to find a tweeter I like better in the price range as far as overall detail and "airiness" (if thats a word lol)
