Speakers, Amp, and Wiring

I have my receiver and front and rear speakers picked out. The recevier can go 57.5 peak per 4 and 27 RMS the max is 230 watt it says on it. The RMS of my rear speakers are 2-80, and the peak is 400 watts. My fronts are 2-50 and a peak of 220 watts. My question is, can you wire a amp from the receiver to just the speakers without a sub? Also what wiring would I want to install to get the best sound, instead of factory for the speakers.

yes u can install an amp just for speakers and not subs. a 4channel 50wrms amp should do nice for you. as far as good wiring i think aslong as u use the recommended wire gauge for your speakers you'll be find. but if you really want best sound make sure u use damplifier in ur car.

The head unit has a pair of preamp outputs, and a preamp voltage of 2 volts. Also, in a case like this should i get a cap? So you get a better idea the model of the head unit is Blaupunkt BPV660. Tell me more.

i doubt u'll need a cap its only a small amp powering speakers so there wont be much current draw.
