well i just build a 7 cu ft port box and i was wondering be for i put the top on should i go ahead and cut the hole out for the sub or should i go ahead and put the top on and then cut the hole out?

how are you cutting? i cut after its on but i use a router.....

i'm going to have to use a jig saw

Either way you cut it, if its a single baffle, just cut it when its on. Then you dont have to worry about cutting into your table.

how should i start the cut hole? i never used a jig saw to cut holes out before. how should i measure for the cut hole for the sub?

drill a hole to start from

just drill a hole big enough to fit your blade in and cut slow and follow your line carefully. you dont want it to big or wavy in some parts and have it leak air. also when your finished cutting make sure you clean out you box, maybe with an air hose or something along those lines, just to get the dust out
