Speaker wiring.

better wire won't hurt but monster is way overpriced imo
Oh yes totally! 1$ per foot for 12 gauge! Whatever.

Also, if some of it is already cut would it hurt to put two cut wires together, and put some shrink warp over the exposed area.

Alright. I went to go have a crack at it, and found a couple of things...

The kick panel (plastic panel that covers the door speaker, not sure if I used the right terminology) on the drivers side is held on by two bolts that also hold on the hood release lever. Could I screw up this lever in any way by removing the bolts? Also How the heck do you remove wire from a wiring harness? Or is it pretty much there to stay?

Take a look at this article, then get over the speaker wire syndrome.

Thats pretty cool! So I should be A-OK with what I have!

Anyways I still have to problem of disconnecting the wires from the wiring harness... I don't want my two front speakers running b/c they are old and shitty any make the system sound like shit... Would it be a bad idea to just disconnect the speaker and leave the wires hanging with maybe some electrical tape around the ends? Or do I NEED to disconnect it from the back of the receiver?

Thanks for that link BTW
