speaker wire too short

the people who made my box didnt use long enough speaker wires on one side.. even though it was specified, but anyways. it wont reach my amp terminals, so would it be bad if i soldered together the same gauge wire to make it lengthy enough? or should i just rip it out and get the correct length?

You could do either. If you choose to solder, use heatshrink after you make the connection to keep it from shorting out.

That is fine, just go ahead and solder it, then wrap some electrical tape around it.

Edit: heat shrink is probably better than electrical tape, so if you have it, use it.

solder is perfectly fine. knowing me, i would just wrap the two wires together really tight and use electrical tape on it.

i've done that with 4 guage power wire too lol.

yea, obviously they didnt get it when i said just run new wire. must be bootleg at heart.
