speaker wire question

Amperage is derived by [watts * volts], so Im not following what your point is.
You stated that wire size is determined by amps and volts, I just pointed out that is incorrect. Wire size is determined by the current flowing through the wire. you can have 140A at 120V or 140A at 5000V on #2 wire, the difference between the two is not the size of the wire but in the insulation.

i'm not an expert at all, but i thought wattage was determined by [amps*volts]. hope i didnt just make a dumbshit out of myself....
You are correct, I think he meant to say that amperage=watts/volts

You are correct on both counts. Yes I meant watts/volts. And going back and looking at the context again, I dont even know what my original point was. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
