Which speaker wire would everyone recommend out of Monster 301, Kicker S series, rockford fosgate, and StreetWires ultra cable?
Thanks
Thanks
kicker is a very reputable brand, but it mainly depends on the speakers/amp/wattage, as to what gage you would want to run from the amp... if it's a headunit, i'd say 16 gage. imo the brand is not aqs important as the flexibility, quality of wire and actual wire size. some brands say one gage when it's actually another... if hes on a budget, knuconcepts is very reasonably priced, and a good quality product...Why do you say Kicker? Sorry my boyfriend is trying to put a system in his car and he needs speaker wire and he doesnt know what kind to get. He asked me to research it for him and I can't find anything so I figured people on here could help? He was leaning towards kicker I think.
i'd go 16 gage for all the front and rear speakers from the amps, and the maximum gage from the sub amp to the subs... i think it's 8 gage? not sure though, it should say in his manuals... i'd get maybe 10 ft. of 8 gage for the subs and however many feet he's gonna need of the 16 gage... check out this site...He has a Kenwood Xcelon 891 headunit, a hifonics BXI 1206D amp, a Hifonics ZXI 6404 amp, some kind of rockford 6.5 speakers for the front i think the power t162c, two 10 inch rockford power t110d4 subs, and two 6.5 component rockford power t162s...if that helps
knuconcepts has great products, you wont be dissapointedcan someone give me more reviews about KnuKonceptz speaker wire
knuconcepts has very very very small (almost unoticable) less flexability... ypou wont notice a differenceOr can anyone compare the kicker and the KnuKonceptz?
greentruck is right, wire is wire, but as i said in a post before, some company's pass off wire as being a certain gage when it's not... generic brand 4 gage wire for instance is most of the time actually 6-8 with thick housing... knuconcepts is not one of these, their products are what they're stated as...Wire is wire. Buy the cheapest stuff you can.
