Speaker system for my 1938 Ford Truck

Would it be dumb to try and find a 6 or 6.5in dia. subwoofer? Since my mids and highs woofer is a 6.5"

I am looking for some more suggestions on a small subwoofer. Let say nothing larger than 8" dia.

Will I need to build a big @$$ box for this woofer? Because I really didn't want a crazy audio system in this truck. Things are slowly getting more and more complicated...

Man that is really expensive for what it is. I will keep my eyes peeled for something. I will update this thread when i pull the trigger.

I need to sell my other equipment first to get some spare cash to buy the new stuff.

Which amp are you talking about?

I need to fix the Xtant amp. I called Xtant and they no longer service this amp. I will have to fix the amp myself, if I want to get it to work.

hey man some great 6.5" woofers are the kicker cvt's. i've heard many great things about them, and they get loud with the right setup, and they have 2 ohm or 4 ohm, theyore only svc tho.

kicker cvt 6.5 2 ohm

Where could I find some small boxes to put my 6.5" speakers and tweaters in?

I have had these sitting on the floor under the driver/passenger seat. I was going to build my own box, but Im too lazy. I got too many other projects going on right now.

Guys,

Im so bummed... It appears that I have popped both speakers. I dont understand how the hell this happen. How can I determine if they are indeed POPPED?

The cone material has detacted itself from the middle. I cant remember if this is how the speakers were or if this is a new issue.
