I am fairly new to car audio and trying to build a really loud system (of course). I was indecisive about 2 speakers in particular: Slenium 8MB4P & Pyle PFM8. What do you guys think about these or do you have any other suggestions ??

Selenium Specs:

RMS (W): 250

Musical program power (W): 500

Impedance (Ohm): 8

Pyle Specs:

Power handling: 400 watts RMS/800 watts peak

Impedance: 4 ohm

Pyle and selenium? What price range ? It not just about specs some companies can give specs that are peak, peak means nothing, Rms per channel is what you look for and sometimes they are not accurate or CEA complaint

I am looking to have a total of 12 inside speakers spending no more than $1000. But really price doesnt matter. I listed the RMS & Peak for both in the first post, but again the Selenium RMS (W): 250 & Pyle 400 watts RMS. Have you heard of either brand ??

Yea I have heard Selenium as well, they are made by JBL. I haven't heard the Pyle but on paper they seem like they will be louder, i dont know about the quality though. For 12 Selenium's it would cost around $800 & for 12 Pyle's about $500.

audioque pro audio stuff. Nice price on their stuff and you can get 12 for way under 1000
Have you heard those, are they loud and clear ? I'm not looking to just be loud i want to be able to make most people turn off their music but i don't really want to be competition level either, but if i have to take it that far then...

You could tone them down if they are too loud via eq gain etc. I am going with a the tweets and mids. From my research both seem to be great products for their prices. Couple guys on here run them. You could also check out Cadence and some would suggest crescendo but I've heard mixed reviews about their new stuff.

Yea, but loud is what i am looking to achieve. But of course i'm going to fine tune it so that it will sound good & not just ear piercing. & I'll look into those Cadence speakers as well. Do audioque make 8" speakers & of the Selenium & Pyle, which would you suggest ?

I would choice the seleniums over the pyle. Someone actually did a comparison of the cadences and the seleniums. I'll see if I can find the link.
