Alrite so the Sub (Fi Q12 Dual) and Amp (Sundown 1000D) are on there way..now its time to move to speakers...i've been looking around and reading and im still unclear as to what to get...i want something thats LOUD, CLEAN, and CLEAR...i dont need extra bass cuz im sure my sub will take care of that...i just wanna be able to hear LOUD CLEAR music when i turn the volume knob up...any suggestions?...i'm looking to spend about $400 for my front stage and about $200 for my rear...both front and rear speakers are 6 1/2'

first of all ditch the rear speakers and just go with really nice comps up front

. so you have $600 to work with? is that for speakers and an amp to match or just for speakers?.

for 600 you could get some rainbow profis, germaniums focal k2p etc etc.

are you going active or passive?

hmmm i was thinkin that at first (just do front stage) but then ppl in the back would hear nothing but bass cuz of the sub...maybe just throw in some shitty speakers in the back for rear fill or even leave em stock?...and im lookin to spend a max of about 800ish for both speakers and amp...wats the difference between active and passive?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

If you have a strong enough front stage and your sub stage is blended well with it, then rear passengers won't have any problems.

For around $800, I'll suggest the Rainbow Germaniums ($480 shipped) and a Kicker ZX850.4 ($350 shipped).

Germs will love that kind of power and treat you well in return.

Do yourself a favor and spend your money up front and forget about the rear fill. Get your components right the first time.

If later you feel that you need rear fill you can upgrade then. But I am confident that will not happen.

x2!!

Germs FTW!!

Ditch the rear, no need for it, you wont here the speakers anyways because the subs will drown them out

There are a few Authorized Dealers right here on the forum for your convienience.

PM either PremierAudio, 6spdcoupe, or 3.5Max6Spd.

And yes, those Germs can take some power. Read my gain setting write up linked in my sig, as I cover how to biamp components in there. I'd start off with no more than the recommended max RMS until they get broken in, but once they do.... start upping the power!
