Speaker installation help

I am new to the whole car audio thing but would like to learn. I just got rid of my old truck and went in a 1990 Honda Accord. I want to put the speakers from the truck in, they are BOSS AVA-6300 300watt 4 & 8ohms. They dont go in any place there almost like boat speakers or computer speakers. Now the wires currently in the speakers already in the car that dont work have some adapter on it. the BOSS speakers have three holes one black and two red that i guess you just stick the wire in. The wires going into the adapter then the speakers that are already in my car are (1)blue with a yellow stripe and (10) gray with a white stripe. Can anyone help.

hook up the wires and just check the polarity to make sure they are in phase. Do this by looking closely at the driver to make sure the cone is pushing out, and not in. If you cant see this easily, pull out your head unit, find your speaker wires and use a 9 volt battery to check your polarity.
