speaker help ASAP

I'm about to order some new speakers for my womans car. In the front doors ,can I easily replace her 6x8 with 5x7's? The 6x9 are in the back deck. She has a JVC hu 40x4. Wll I need an amp too?

What's better.

Out of those listed, the Infinity 6952 are best, but they won't fit. The 5752cf will be your next best choice, although you'll need a baffle to mount it. They will work off of HU power, but will sound better amplified.

An amp will of course be better but woman don't tend to be as demanding as we are so I bet you can get away with the amp in the hu. If not that can be a surprise gift for sometime in the future when you are in the doghouse.
