Hey everyone. I'm wanting to do the system in my car and would like some input and suggestions.
The vehicle is a 1996 Mitsubishi Legnum VR4 import from Japan. Cool wagon, 280 horse and AWD.
What I've got going so far is a battery relocation to the back (technically two Optima red top 6v to be 100% hidden while keeping the spare tire)
So what I'm wanting to do is replace the door speakers first, and I was thinking of going with the Hertz Hi-Energy 6.5s (HSK1654BFBD) in both the front and rear doors and I have a few options for the amp.
1: I could possibly use a single HCP4D 85w@4ohm x4 ch
2: Two JLJX3602 90w@4ohm x2 ch
What are your thoughts on this?
I'm not adamant on the speakers or amp selection, but I've heard Hertz is a great brand, and I'm tired of being burned by $150 sets of speakers.
I've done front doors in my Z with some $130 JL's and they sound like crap, and I did all four doors in my Subaru with two $130 sets and they still sound like junk.
I wasn't expecting much but I didn't think it would sound WORSE than the paper ones I pulled out.
