Sparks...need help

I was helping a friend install an amp in his truck today, well long story short we hook the amp up (brand new btw) and all the sudden sparks start shooting from where the power wire is connected to the amp!

The fuses look good, I have no clue what the issue is...any advise?

Don't let the live bare power wires touch the chassis of the amp.

Sparks can happen and when they do occur its just the capacitors being charged up.

or its shorting out like guy said above...

The issue is that you didnt disconnect the ground at the battery. First rule of working on any electrical on your car...
