Spare Tire Box?

Would it work if i set my IDQ in a sealed "chamber" using a sheet of 3/4" MDF as my floor and then the place where my spare tire should be would act as a box? Therefore all you would see is the sub facing up?

Would the metal box make it sound bad?

I was thinking IB but now am thinking this would work. Am i wrong?

if its sealed proper, it can work, is it the best idea? no

what do you guys do in order to have the sub facing up with out a box? maybe there is a box and its just small but i have seen it where it is just a single sub mounted facing up from the floor.

and instead of a metal box its a fiberglass box? i guess fiberglass would make is sound better? I can easily seal the chamber, but i dont want to look like a dummy for doing that
