They both are for different purposes. Whey mixed with milk would be a good bet, as the milk would make it absorbed over a longer period of time.
he should just use casein protein then , milk should be avoided when trying to lose weight it has lots of fat, and even skim milk has about 11 grams sugar in it.

im cutting out everything. only thing im going to eat is penut butter salads and chicken. thats it my supps and shakes
