Sourcing an alternator

When you say 'daily applications', are you speaking with systems less than 2500 watts in mind? I'm doing my research for a 3500w (max) setup and have a hard time sorting through the information as to what size would be efficient. My '00 Bravada's alt is rated for 100A and from what I've read 200A sounds like what I want (although I'm unsure, never had a system over 1200-1600w). I doubt I'll need anything over 200A; I'm not building an SPL competition vehicle, just a daily driver with a 3k-3500w system. The last pieces I need will be a HO alt and a second battery.

Since they aren't for everyday driving, what about Mechman? I'm not replacing the alternator only, I'll also be putting an AGM battery in the front and one in the back based on what I've been reading.

I've seen good and bad reviews about mechman alts I guess it would come down to cs and possible pricing. Just remember when it comes to alts , if the price is to good to be true. It prolly is
