Soundstream Vs. Phoenix Gold

So I see Soundstream subs have exellent reviews, so heres a question.

If you could pick between only a pair of Soundstream T5's or a Phoenix Gold RSD Competition 104's....what would you rather have in your trunk?

Phoenix gold. I've heard great things about the RSD's so I'm guessing the RSD competition woofers sound just as good but louder. Never heard either so this is simply personal opinion.

no personal experience with them personally, but my buddy that owns a local car audio shop deals Soundstream, and I have heard a few T5's... they get loud and sound good for "mainstream" audio.

what exactly are you talking about. Cleaner but not louder than a subwoofer?

The Phoenix Golds will kill the T5's. I know from experience. Best sounding sub for the price and get quite loud as well.

Shouldn't a pair of 600 rms subs which obv equals 1200 rms need around 1200rms amp to fully power them? i **** at this

I just realized the 12" is the same RMS as the 10" should i get the 12's?

Depends on how much room you have to have a optimal enclosure for the subs. You could put way more power to the Rsdc's though. The phoenix gold engineer even told me they underated the sub. I would do about 1000watts rms to each.

So i would need an amp that pushes 2000 @ 1 ohms or 1000 @ 2ohms? which is better

Well if you get the two dual 4ohm subs it would be better to get the 2000watt @1ohm amp. So if you get two amps then get the 1000 @2ohm for each amp. That will make each sub get 1000watts.
