I liked it, pushed 3 sa-10's @ .6 ohms and never got hot or shut off. Pretty sure it will do rated power

I on the other hand got one that took a **** on me. Left a bad taste in my mouth and I will never buy another Soundstream product. Just me.

What was your setup.

1 American Bass XFL 1522 in a 3.25cu.ft ported enclosure running at 1ohm off the Soundstream Rubicon 2500.1. Gain adjusted using DMM to 1500 watts. Fucker overheated and died.

Oh and I now run an American Bass HD2500 rated at 1250 watts rms that pushes my 15 just as hard and have not had a problem.

The reviews seem to be hit and miss on Rubicon's. I bought a 1.400 for a single sub knowing that some reviewers said it got crazy hot. I push mine hard and have only felt it slightly warm. So far I love it.

IIRC, they have been clamped at around 2100-2400w at 1 ohm but they are current hogs

i have had pretty good luck with mine. they dont run hot and have yet to go into protect. i bought it as a band aid amp and liked it enough to buy 2 more.

Very strong amp mines running .5 she dot real hot at 1 ohm turned off in like 10 min then find out was lacking power so big three and batt in back she played by rules the 2 more batts and fan now shes better no hot or warm but still calling 4 power my 4 15s r hurting to keep up and shes only up a lil under half gain still think that's 2 high hope it helps

Had one briefly. Did some good power for sure but was a current hog big time. Ran warmer than I expected but never shut off on me.

Cheap Chinese junk. Soundstream hasn't made a product I'd touch since the 90's. IMO one of the biggest disappointments in car audio history how good they used to be and how ****** they are now.

There are a couple of the larger Power Acoustik amps with essentially the same layout if that tells people anything. They have fallen pretty far from where they used to be. Most of the crowd here probably wasn't around to experience some of the good product they use to make.
