Hey everyone. I'm getting ready to start the next part of my build here. I have got everything ready to amp my 4 doors and my sub is all up n running.

So. I was hoping for any advice, or pointers on doing the install and wiring for the 4 doors. I've done more than a few sub installs, but never done my 4 doors and amplified it. So I have an Ext. Cab truck and I was thinking I'd unplug the old and stock speaker cables, n leave them ran the way they are, cover the ends and tape them down securely. This way if I sell the car in the future I can remove my door speakers, or even sell em with it and rewire it for the HU easily. Make sense?

So if I do that do I also need to pull them out of the HU back. Or if they are not plugged into the speakers am I ok to just leave them alone?? Afterall the new wires go to amp. From there I'll run my new wires n all to my amp and I'm probably ok with the rest.

I do have some dynamat, I add that to the door wall, behind the speaker right?? I might dyno the doors cuz I have a spare box.

Thanks, n feel free to give any pointers or suggestions on the install procedure for the door speakers amplification. I've already got the alpine type S installed

You mean while adding the new wires through the door gromets?? Ya it might be tight with the old wire still there huh. I'm sure I can get it through. If I need to I'll pull my old stock wire out but leave it close so I can pull it back through later. The hard part will be rerunning the back speakers. But the ext cab opens so It should have the same gromets

Iwould unhook the OEM speakers and put a bell cap on the ends, and than heatshrink over the bell caps........You can fit the new wire through the factory gromment without pulling OEM wire out.

Oh ok. Thanks boogeyman. Ya I'll probably heatshrink the end. That was my original thought. That and some electrical tape under it. But whatever. If I can fit through the stock grommets that would work great. So if I do that. The speaker wires will be covered and secure. I can leave the other end in the HU right. I don't need to pull those off? From there I just can run my RCAs and finish the rest. Sounds easy enough. Lol.

Any certain speaker wire u recommend. I've had people say the largest guage best quality stuff u can afford to use. And others say to just get average speaker wire from best buy or radioshack and ur fine. It doesn't matter to extremely much, right??
