SoundSplinter RL-p Users, Some Advice Please...

fourm member chris shaw has that exact size and model sub.
we built a box for it tuned to 27hz, and honestly, it diddnt sound much diffrent from

the box he had it in first ( sealed ).

build it a good sealed box. and give it around a thousand w.

should be verry satisfying after ajusting your lpf. settings
maybe you should try 2 rl-p 15's in a large sealed enclosure haha.

actually we built it at 4 cubes @ 30hz. compared to 3 cubes sealed. i love the sealed for daily, but if i want to pound it, i would throw in the ported box. besides sounding louder, the ported def. has a different sound to it for daily and music. my lows are pretty good down to around tuning, then it falls off after 28 or so. (testing with tones) how much port area do you have btw? im pretty sure more at-least 60 or more port area with the low tuning will be great.

i still want to try out 4 cubes sealed and something close to what oxxin said, 2.5-3 cubes at around 32-34hz so it can fit under my hatch cover.

Yea, I love the SEs. My single 10" on 750watts gets low, I love it.
Like I said above, my 12" TC-9 got lower than this 15"
I would try 27 or 28 hz, other wise you will wonder if 30hz isnt low enough after you built it. 27 or 28 doesnt work..you have your answer

boxes make great coffee tables! most the time people dont even know what they are. its great. animals love them as well. i saw a ferrite come out of my port one time, then try to drink my beer that was sitting there, it was great.
