SoundSplinter RL-p Users, Some Advice Please...

Ok, I have a 15" RL-p. I have been playing around with it for a few months now. I have thrown 600watts, 800watts and im fixing to throw 1000watts on it. Maybe a bit more, it all depends. It just aint getting low enough for me. Now, Could some users or ex-users tell me what the best box would be? Im running it now in a 3.5@32hz box. Im told to tune it way lower? Some tell me to go sealed? I just need some advice on what box and power combo would be nice to get the lows a lil better? Thanks in advance...

I can elaborate more, ask questions if need be...

ran my 2 12's at 3.5 cube at 34hz with around 750 to them each. they could get fairly low but like ur saying lacked a little bit, was gonna try a lower tuning but never got around to it before they got sold.

fourm member chris shaw has that exact size and model sub.

we built a box for it tuned to 27hz, and honestly, it diddnt sound much diffrent from

the box he had it in first ( sealed ).

build it a good sealed box. and give it around a thousand w.

should be verry satisfying after ajusting your lpf. settings

I had mine in 4 cubic feet @ 28hz. Would have gone a little higher with the tuning, but got a good deal on the box. Worked out extremely well, sub sounded great down low, of course, and still sounded great on the upper end.

Give you an example, im not sure how low the "low" note is Jeezy White Girl, but when I played that, you could feel air pushing by you. Sean Paul "you aint know" screwed had some low notes and was one of my favorate tracks to demo with. That was all on a Kicker 750.1 pushing around 800 to 900w. Later I bridged my Rockford 25 to Life Punch 150 at 2 ohm mono, and sub sounded even better, prob getting over 1000w at that point.

Honestly, I miss that setup and hate it got stolen. Im seriously thinking about trying to get another pair of RL-ps, the one sounded so good.
