is that welding wire ofc or cca? or with my application at this thickness does it really matter? (sorry if this is a dumb question at this point in the conversation)

Welding cable is all ofc don't waist money on cca atleast I wouldn't. 0 gauge and I have that same stuff in my truck just three runs pos and three neg but one run for you is fine.

Wow I bet it's cold there bro ! Ya it's an easy way to tell what's going on , if it stays on just trace down your remote wire for bad connections all they way to Hu and check it to make sure voltage is constant. If it still shuts off you do have an amp problem . Either way imho you need 0 gauge anyway even if you replace amp but I hear good things about that amp so if need be I would get it repaired and keep it .

ok, so i put the amp back in a listened to some bass heavy stuff and of course ti shut down. It didnt entirely shut off like i thought it was doing before, it goes into protect mode. now i just need to figure out how much im gonna need. seems like many places i find online sells it in 5 ft increments. Id think that 15 ft should do it

so, on break i noticed a weird chirpy sound coming from the trunk. its coming from one of the subs. turned the sub output off on my deck and am gonna put a ppi pc250 in there to see if it does the same thing. Im betting the amp is just toast

Amp is on its way back to SoundQubed. The outcome of their testing will determine what i can do with it. If its gonna cost in the $150 to $200 range to fix, im not sure if ill scrap it and get a CAB 1600 or what. Thisll be the third time theyve had it now, the last time was because the bass knob ethernet cord wasnt properly soldered on to the board and was causing weird low freq blips to pass through to the subs. Its only $429 new for the 2200.2 (mine is the 2200.1) and i dont want to throw good money after bad.
