SounDigital 12kD released

Ask Murilo, I did not design this stuff. You have to realize some people want a daily driver that does 157, 158 on music daily, below 40hz.
I'm sure there are guys that want to be that loud, like Bass Racers, guys in Street Beats or Bass Boxing and possibly some other guys that want it loud. But you can't seriously think SD would build one 12K for daily and one 12K for comps when you could use the same amp for both.

This is what I have been told, I am only interested in daily so I have never asked Murilo about a comp version. If you are interested in a comp version then ask about it.

To you it is to some it is not. What is the point of having 800horsepower as a daily driver in the US. Last time I checked there was no fu cking Autobahn around here where you can actually get up to speed:confused:
I agree with you there too. Montana used to allow you to do that, but no more alas.

look at us making a competition on how small are runs are:laugh:. I guess in that battle the shorter the better.

No, the SD12kD dont have a comp version, it is a VERY STRONG daily amplifier that we released because we needed to continue, considering we had the SD8000 for 2 years. We never stop creating amplifiers, for example, now that is released we are working on the next, a 24kW monster, maybe for 2010.

About the Joule effect (when the electrons chock themselves with the atoms of the conductor), the cable wont burn like a fuse, come on! I´ll explain:

The power dissipated on the cable will be I²R, so on a 1f 0AWG cable the resistance is 0.000096 ohm.

The power dissipated in a continuos 600A (remember, though, that by SD12kD playing music will flow 300 to 500A continuously) will be:

300². 0.000096 = 8.5W (300A each cable)

This certainly wont melt the cable!

Lol, I am an EE, I know all of this, I just didn't have the time or inclination to run the numbers right now.

Is there a different version of the 8000 for burps?
