SounDigital 12kD released

Looks awesome, and definitely some sweet technology going on there. I have no reason or money to run one of your amps, but they definitely will fit the bill for a lot of people.

thats what i was thinking
it just seems like dual 1/0 is cutting it close.
I agree. If I was designing this I would have included 4 1/0 inputs or 2 2/0 inputs for power.

I will be getting an EE degree in a year so maybe I will be designing this stuff //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

that would work too I'm sure, but that would also limit that amp from being used in some dB Drags classes. And since this is a 12K amp it's designed more for comps than for just daily bumpin.

I'm sure anyone buying one of these is going to have a stout electrical. And have the massive battery bank needed to supply the power this amp is going to consume. That being said I am sure who ever buys one of these is going to keep the amp as close as possible to the battery bank.
My runs are 1'6" power and 1' ground. So it's not impossible. Were you thinking someone is just going to run this off their battery up front and alt?
No, but even then you get a larger voltage drop than needed, plus the Joule heating of the wire increases its resistance even more and at 600 amps you will heat that wire a lot, even to the point of melting the insulation possibly.

Hehehe, my power is 1' and my ground is 4" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I am sure alot of R&D has went into this amp. I am sure Murilo knows what he is talking about. It is just out of the ordinary and that is why people can not wrap their minds around it.
There is a lot of R&D in many poorly designed products. Sometimes things just get overlooked. I am sure the amp will work fine and it looks to be very high quality, but as stated, 2 inputs is pushing it, although it is doable.

Wrong, pretty sure there are "comp" versions of this amp.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
