JL Audio 300/4 question

Please tell me if this makes sense for my connections.

I am using two JL Audio 300/4 amps to power 2 pairs of speakers. One amp for the front pair and one amp for the Rear pair. This question refers to one 300/4 amp powering the front speakers.

I am bridging each speaker on the 300/4. (left front on one channel and right front on the other channel)

I am splitting the stereo RCA cable with Y-adapters into each channel on the amp.

The question i have is, does the amp get set to 2ch or 4 ch input mode? I read the manual but I am still a little unsure if I should have it set to 2ch or 4ch.

Thanks!

Ditch the Y adapters, plug the RCA's into the front input section & set the input mode to 2 channels. The gains on the front input section will then adjust both sides together.

Or just run it like you are now with the input mode set to 4 channels. The separate gains will then adjust both sides separately.

However you do it, the RCA's should be connected to the front preouts of the deck.
