sound?

i plan on hooking my ps2 to my sound system but my hu only has 1 set of rcas so i was thinking of geting some sort of audio switcher like the ones they sell for pepole with multpule gameing systems at home just useing there audio inputs because i want to be able to listen to my cd player while playing the ps2 and when ever i want at the flip of a switch the game will be comeing trew the system will this work

i'm sure there is a way to do it, might just take some investigating. think about it, computer and home audio systems do it all day long, why shouldn't you be able to do it in your car.

one thing i would like to clear up though. you mentioned only one set of RCAs on your HU. the ps2 will be connected to the amps, not to the HU. the hu will only have an output, not an input.

Actually some do have RCA's in.

how does it work? if there is an input does it just override the cd player or what? will you have the option to combine the input with the cd player?

the way my pioneer 7300 works is its just another "source" like you can flip from cd to fm to am....mine just adds one called "aux". tune to that, and you have sound into there, i use it to connect a portable mp3 player all the time.

some have ai-net which can be converted to RCA. I have a 20 GB iPod that I could potentially hook up to my head unit through such a process.
