Hey what subs have you experienced that have the ability to make their sound travel down the block and such, not just contained within your ride. What criteria should one look for when assesing and try to chose this type of sub? Obviously the steup (BOX, amp and placement) will be variables but simply speaking from your experiences what have you liked. Also would a ported or sealed box be more efficent in acheiving this type of traveling sound.(not endorsing anyone to shake their neighbors windows, but sometimes it's tempting //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I found the 13w7 to be pretty damm good at this so. I would be interested to hear all your favorites. Layta

hehe hes using sophistimacated language to ask "yo how can i wake my neighbors up 4 blocks away?"

aint gonna work buddy, nice try //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

but yea ported, tuned high, windows down, subs outside the car, a crap load of power.

spend 1500$ or whatever it is and get the kicker solox 18" square sub thing

spend another 5000$ and get 4 MTX1501D's

spend another 150$ and build a 20ft^3 box for the sub

spend another 300$ on a 300amp alternator

spend another 150$ on a new battery

spend another 150$ upgrading all wires to 1/0

spend another 200$ on speakers to keep up with the loudness of subs

spend another 300$ on a speaker amp to power the speakers

spend another 150$ on a capacitor becuase seems lots of people just have to have them

i dunno whatever that totals to $$ wise you will have a loud system

(btw to protect debate, those prices are not accurate)

nice pricing list just let me get my shopping cart //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

really though the kicker solox 18" sub is the loudest sub ive heard.

id much rather have an 2 18" XXX but thats just personal opinion and preference.

actually id rather have neither, i like my 12" xxx

The whole idea of this post actually came to me after i switched from a pair of 13w7's to 2 pioneer 2000spl's. i noticed the sound with the pioneer's was sticking in the car but the jl's well lets just say with the windows down they were insane. They give you that thump in your chest even when you stand oustide the car. I took out the jl's due to the cold weather. since my whole trunk is being takin up with the jl's fiberglass box i cant place the pioneers there so im stuck with them sitting on the back seat but do you think the issues im having with the pioneer's is a result of their placement, perhaps the box or do they just play loud in the car and not outside?

buy the most expensive equipment you can find... and dont invest in any security. car alarms and such only keep the sound in the car.
oh yeah, park your car in a bad part of town, sound travels better in those areas.
thats true huh??? you can hear sirens a whole lot better in the ghetto...

Bass outlaw how huge is that damm sub! bigger than the pizza i had for dinner last night. If that is yours do you soley communicate with sign lang because you have to be deaf with that. But seriously that is awesome!
