This started Saturday night.. the sound suddenly went dead in my car. It was out for a few seconds then it came back for a few. Then it was gone again. on. off. on. off. irritated! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif I started dicking around with it, and found that if I set the head unit to volume 9 or below it would stick around. Turn it up to 10+ and it starts skipping. I then have to turn it back down to 8 for it to start working. Wierd.
This morning, I had it turned up to 10 while driving to work, and it was working fine.. when it started acting up again after about 5 minutes of driving. I turned it down to 9, it was working ok for awhile before it started skiping there too. Not as frequently as it did on 10+ though.
Friday night I fixed some of the problems my car was having. Mainly I put in 2 new door speakers, replaced some RCA cables that were preventing one side from playing, and replacing some speaker cable from the door speaker as well. I had it all working properly.. everything sounded good Friday night and Saturday during the day. Saturday night driving us all home from the bars it suddenly started acting up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
My initial thought is the ground cable, but if that were the case, the volume wouldn't really matter..
Any ideas here?
Thanks again!
