I currently have my dc's in 6.54 cubic ft each and is tuned to 32hz in a 2007 Tahoe I'm thinking of taking the back seats out and doing 9 15 Rockford t0's 3 rows of 3 cause I like to stay around a 54-55 which I'm at now but have the sound quality also. I know alot of people are gonna hate on the Rockford but To be honest there team line sq can not be beat. I have hear jl w6's, w7's, all of the sq subs and I will still say the t2 sounds the best yes it's a bit overpriced but if there's nothing else out there then I have no choice.........btw the 9 15 t0's would be paired with 3 crescendo bc5500's I have 4 d3100's and 2d3400 under the hood and 6 pos/6 neg runs and 2 mechman 270a ext reg alts

Go for it. Back in the mid 90's a dozen 15's in small sealed boxes walled did high 150's... that's how people did those numbers back then. Let me tell you those big cone area walls were stupid loud to sit in. Hell, get 16 12's in a W shaped wall or deep V

OP what is your idea of SQ, what sound are you looking for that you don't have now? What kind of music do you mostly listen to?

For a streetbeat sub, they actually sound pretty good at high SPL levels.

Not saying they're SQ subs or SQ worthy, but they sound good none-the-less.

this is the problem on car audio forums now. There are tons of people hyping subs for things they are not and tons of people thinking what they heard was sq etc. You only get about 6 brands that every come up as suggestions half of which are **** near the same sub and they are almost always thrown in a category they don't belong. Almost no real informative answers can be had anymore. You are better off just listening to several systems at an event or wherever to form your opinion. On these sites anymore there are ones answering who have no idea what they are talking about and others just pushing their nut hugging brands

I somewhat agree. This forum is bad for help, that should be understood, but the OP did ask for more of an SQL type of sub and Tantric Sounds subwoofers fall into that category. Boner sub...maybe, but I bought mine due to the performance and build quality.

I wasn't referring to tantric with the quote. This is just a opinion of what I have seen on what seems like every one of these threads that come up. I have not run a tantric sub so can't say weather it is a "SQL" sub or not.

Nobody puts R&D into stuff anymore except for DD, Sundown, and JL. Sundown was a deserving forum boner but that's fell off some. Everybody else just picks what they want and slaps label. If its not broke don't fix it but come on.
