Sound quality and spl?

I have bin into spl for 4 years now. I currently have 2 dc level 5 18's they sure as hell get loud but the sq really isn't there and I expected that. My buddy has 2 15inch Rockford t2's and the sq blows my mind they sound great. Now I'm trying to achieve the same if not louder spl but I want my sq to increase and I have though about 4 15inch Rockford t2's but they just can't take the power I like to throw at my subs or the spl I'm trying to achieve. Is there any sub out there that would suit my needs of sq and spl?

You need to give more information such as power. In short Tc Sounds axis will do both pretty well as well as the lms ultra but really SPL and SQ require totally different types of subwoofers so there aren't many that will excel at pure SPL if they are a great sounding sub.

Yea I totally understand that they can't be both but I'm looking for somewhere in the middle and I'm trying to throw about 2500-3500rms per driver so the t2's wouldnt really do me no good unless I got a bunch of them and got rid of my rear seats which is not what I'm really trying to do lol

DD 9500i with standerd suspension. I ran DC for years, the XLs sounded better then the 5s but the DDs tuned low blow them away.

just to be clear here, when you say spl are you talking about just daily loud or actually chasing numbers?

The 3500 and 9500 share simular soft parts. The 2500 is the refrence sub

You will need to sacrifice numbers on the meter for a wider bandwidth (which is likely what you're after). No two ways around it except overcoming with more cone area/power.

Also worth asking, dimensions and tuning of your current box?

I currently have my dc's in 6.54 cubic ft each and is tuned to 32hz in a 2007 Tahoe I'm thinking of taking the back seats out and doing 9 15 Rockford t0's 3 rows of 3 cause I like to stay around a 54-55 which I'm at now but have the sound quality also. I know alot of people are gonna hate on the Rockford but To be honest there team line sq can not be beat. I have hear jl w6's, w7's, all of the sq subs and I will still say the t2 sounds the best yes it's a bit overpriced but if there's nothing else out there then I have no choice.........btw the 9 15 t0's would be paired with 3 crescendo bc5500's I have 4 d3100's and 2d3400 under the hood and 6 pos/6 neg runs and 2 mechman 270a ext reg alts

Those jl subs must have been in terrible boxes. I am by no means a jl fanatic but I have never heard Rockford subs that sounded better than the w6. There are a ton of subs out there that will do better than the Rockford setup but you haven't specified pricing, amount of subs, etc.
