sound proofing and vibration sealing

I own a 2000 chevy express van, which has a metal cage with door behind me.The rear cargo area can get fairly noisy. I would like to seal it off ,dont really use the door much wouldnt be a great loss if i couldnt open anymore.Im just looking for some ideas on how to soundproof it better. I saw some talk of eggcrate material what is that . tyvm.
