sound problem plz help

oay heres the situation i have one kicker 15'' l7 in a 3 cubic feet box and i just got one yellow top battery and the vehicles in a neon 95 and my amp is one pg x1200.1. Now this is the problem when i turn my volume up my car revs on its own after the bass hits and if i turn it up past 10 the bass cuts out. But not the regular music just the sub and the amp light blinks whats the problem and whats the solution.?

Ihave never heard of anything like this but have you done the big 3 upgrade?

could be the alternator. Dont know if you car has some sort of volatge regulator that makes the engine rev when there is a voltage drop

i mean it just started doing this like 2 days ago and this may be because i took my battery out and try to charge it, but it was fully charged. Then i put it back in and it took a minute to start my car then i pop the hood and tighten the terminals, then it started but now i have to drive my car a while to get the volume up high without the bass cutting out. i just was tired of charging my yellow top for 8 hours to put in the trunk and it only working for 2 hours. is there a way yu can connect two batteries to the alternator? But can someone help me out?

When you turn it up and the engine revs, that is your alt belt turning more. It is ******* to much power for the alt to handle. So the alt spins up to try and help.

You need to make sure you are using the proper guage wire and test the voltage @ the amp. Make sure it is reading at least 13v minimum.

Should be fine. Check the voltage, also did you set the gains with a DMM?

no i dont have a dmm and i cant check the voltage how do i and where can i get one at?
