For all you guys out there that like to pound around town and be just as loud outside as inside, dont sound deaden lol. I just spent 200 bucks and sound deadened my whole car, and with all the MDF and sound absorbent my car sounds like i have maybe a single 8" Sealed in a 0.5 cubic foot box on the outside with the system cranked. I can hear the words to the song rather than the bass (havn't deadened in the inside on my doors as of yet.)

Anyways inside my car im nailing close to 160 with the epic 150, outside it sounds like i got a nice pair of 6x9's :p

Plus you get a nice gain in sound just from deadening, prolly 3db.

not the case in my car. i got like 50sqft of Edead in my trunk and i definetly turn heads whenever i drive by people. And many alarms still get set off. not on purpose of course.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

well with mine if i have my windows up you cant really hear anythign except for

a small amount of bass, but when i roll my windows down you

definetely can hear it

i was showing my system to my friend and my other friend comes over and says "we could here your all the way by my car(which was quite a ways away), wait its not yours, then i opened my door and hes like oh nm it was, so it keeps almost all the sound inside, no tickets for me =D

**** pushin 160 off a RE XXX15? You should be competing then brotha //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif

that 160 you pulled on your epic150 is very unreliable, and thats the OLD A/C mic.

I had my whole tunk done in dampx and the 2 layers i had on my lid rattled/fell off and i noticed an increase in output. now i have 2 guys on my trunk instead of using it on my lid. I see better results that way.

I my car the bass was much louder on the outside with the dynamt i put in, but the overall noise was not as loud. This is because the fluctuation form the trunk lid mkaes a much louder noise than the bass itself from the outside. However, with the dynamat and foam expander i put in, it sounds a lot better on the inside and outside, a much cleaner deeper bass sound. And as for the DB gain/loss, technically the sound deadener should produce a louder response inside of the car because it basically stops the sound waves from hitting the trunk lid/rest of the car and sends them back out. Plus it adds density and weight to the surface it is attached to which reduces the rattling. Mine was definately louder with the dynamat...I guess it depends on the car though, but technically it shoudl be louder
