Sound deadening.

So i was looking today at sound deadener showdown stuff, and i never knew how cheap it was! For 10 sheets that would give me 600 square inches for 24.50. Sounds pretty good to me, Should at least cover my trunk lid. But anyways.

I was wondering, I already have some like black spray road noise eliminator in the trunk lid. Could i just stiick it on over this, its about 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick max under there. If i stuck the deadener over that would it still work the same?

People will say it will just dampen what it sticks too which would be the black spray road noise but it should be fine. I stuck my deadener over the factory damping material they use and worked fine.

so for value and best product, would you recommend damplifier (Second skin) Or the sound deadener showdown stuff. The damplifer you get a ton more for the money. 2 square feet = 24X24 = 576 inches? am i wrong? And the sds stuff you get like 60 inches 6X10 for 2.50. So i would get a TON more for say 30 dollars if i spent it at second skin?

CLD is not ment to be layed every inch its suppose to cover a larger area with less and not ment to cover every inch like people do with second skin. But I used second skin and loved it. that would be 2'x5' i believe or 24" x 60"

1'x10' 12"x120"

so on and so fourth

i did the math, you get about the same amount of the cld tile for the price of 2 feet of second skin, So the cld tile seems better cause i could just stick it anywhere and it seems like its more effective lol

while i do not have hands on experience with either product, i still feel you cant go wrong with either product.

i look forward to using both in the future to find out which i like best.

Get it and let us know CLD has been growing pretty quick but SS has always been a solid product as well.
