http://www.RAAMAUDIO.com

get like a 1/2 roll of this or something.

I love Saving time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif The only hard part about deadening is time....Man is it a pain in the neck...I just ordered another 1/2 roll and some more of that Foam (foam works great also! and is cheap)

3.5 rolls of RAAMAT in a truck lol I better not have any vibrations when I'm done (yea right)

what about doing the trunk with Ensolite® MLC Sheeting from RAAMmat and the trunk lid in edv3 will this be ok I have 2 L7 12's and will this stop the wing on my car from flexing it moves a hell of a lot

this may be stupid but will Truck Bed Liner work my frind will give me about 2 Gallons that is left over from when we did his bed last week

Yes some people use truck bedliner mat'l as a sound deadener, its quite common actually. I doubt it works as well as more specialized products the sound deadening companies are making/selling, but it will obviously work as a mass loader, and at least as a sound barrier somewhat.

How long does it usually take fatmat to ship out orders? Does sound deadening drastically improve sound quality.
To the detailed ear, yes the improvement can be 'drastic'. But I do find many times a person who has never sound deadened before tends to expect too much. Im sure some of it has to do with those ads claiming a 3db drop in the noise floor, which they equate to a doubling of your stereo's power. Almost makes your mouth water.

The over all effect of sound deadening a vehicle depends on many things, the two biggest being the actual installation of the sound deadener and material used (are we talking laying one sheet of asphault mat across your floor, or extensively deadening the entire vehicle using many methods incuding mass loading, sound absorbtion/reflection, panel stiffening, etc etc) and the second biggest factor is the vehicle to be deadened. A '74 Pinto has alot more room for improvement over a 2005 Mercedes in terms of lowering the noise floor. Then of course, there's the fact each person's definition of 'drastic' will be different. *shrug*

Your question on how drastic an improvement to expect is basically impossible to answer. But basically dont expect to feel like a whole new super quiet car unless you plan an extensive deadening *system*.

I am just sound deadening the trunk of my car to basically help with rattles. It doesnt sound bad now, so I dont care if it helps with sound just the rattling. How long does it usually take to do the trunk, right?

if it is your first time it will take you a little longer than your second time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I have never done a trunk, but it all varies with how many holes you have to cut out for bolts or clips and how much stuff you have to remove from the truck to get to the point where you add the deadener.

Applying the deadener itself is easy.

I got som RAAMAT for my Trunk ups ses I will have it on friday but i just seen that my back bumper is moving more then the trunk is the car is onely 5 years old and all the bolts are tite but what can I do to stop it I catn get the raamat on the back of the bumper so what shood i do

I recently put the fatmat in my trunk and it really helped with rattles from the outside and inside of the car. I put some on my trunk lid and yesterday I opened the trunk and it wasnt even sticking to the trunk. I assume it is due to the heat but are there anyway's to avoid this?
