sound deadening the enclosure?

so in a sealed enclosure application, does sound deadening the inside of the enclosure do anything dramatic? If so what would it do? Finally what kind of sound deadening would work best? (liquid, sheet, close foam, open cell foam, heatwave from second skin audio...etc)

Some people coat the interior with resin, but I don't think it would benift you do to deaden your box. Things that often improve the quality or output of your box would be bracing, resin, and polyfill.

Nope - would be a lot better to simply put braces on the longest unsupported sides of the box.

Closed cell foam placed behind the driver, if thick enough, serves to reduce standing waves.

could you go a bit more in detail about bracing? and it would help to add products like overkill behind the driver then?

There are plenty of ways to brace an enclousure, but you have to tell us how big the box will be in the first place. Smaller boxes don't require bracing so you would have to give us a little more information.

1. Wooden dowels or, "posts"

2. Threaded rods

3. Center divider or internal wall for seperate inclousures (applicable in multidriver setups only.

4 8" assassins in 2 cu ft sealed box under the rear bench in my truck...

You should put them each in their own serperate chambers for insurance reasons. So you would have 3 interior walls.
that's what i plan to do. i don't want to start a chain reaction of destruction if one sub goes out lol.
