Sound deadening questions.

How big of a difference does sound deadening actually make as far as bass output? People always say that sound deadening eliminated the rattle, however when I deadened my old Neon back in 2007, I found it rattled more(though a slight increase in bass). Is the rattle thing just a myth or does it reall help? Is there a way to completely eliminate rattle? Whereis the cheapest place to buy sound deadening?

in all instances, proper deadening will improve bass response. less bass is lost and cancelled through the flimsy sheet metal.

i also recall deadening a Neon with one of the OS PPI Flat 10's. before it was weak, after it was amazing.

i deaden every vehicle i do. no exceptions.

Cheapest and sound deadening don't belong in the same sentence. It's about using the right combinations of products and techniques. You can't buy techniques, but you can read and learn and practice on your vehicle. Rattles are the sound of two hard objects or surfaces striking each other. You fix that by putting something soft in between them.
