Sound Deadening... HushMat vs RAAMmat

i have tried hushmat and dynamat extreme,

i tried the black hushmat, its awesome, sticks more than the dynamat and it doesn't use the foil-like cover like the dynamat that will cut you.

on sound proofing effectiveness, i can't tell the difference.

well, i have read alot of good things about raamat... the only reason im considering hushmat, is because of them having it in black!

isnt hushmat along the lines of damp pro & dynamat extreme? raamat is good cause quanity/quality vs price
pretty much.

Hushmat sticks amazingly well. It has absolutely no smell, and it's pretty clean to work with. Raamat doesnt seem to stick quite as well, and even though it doesnt really smell either, its very messy to work with. It leaves marks wherever it touches where as the Hushmat doesnt.Ive done many vehicles with Hushmat and 3 with Raamat. Hushmat is hands down the better product.

That's about it. Hushmat's adhesive is slightly lower quality Damp Pro or Xtreme, but it's still very good. The only thing I DON'T like is the black facing. It's some sort of paint or coating over a thin foil. Aside from being tough on your hands, thicker foil is always better than thinner. If you must have black, look at Cascade V-Max. It's among the best products available and has 4 mil foil that has been anodized black instead of being painted. Alternatively, you can use any of the foil faced products and paint them black after installation. Still not sure why you care what color it is.

it is true that it wont be really seen... i do know hushmat is more expensive and raammat bxt is alot cheaper and you can get more, just want to know what would be the best to get/would it be worth the extra money for the hushmat or save my money and go with the raammat?

I'll never use another deadener besides RAAMat. It's extremely easy to apply and it works great. And the customer service is excellent....Rick is a cool guy and will answer any question you have. But it is pretty messy if you aren't careful, I got the backing all over my truck....but nothing a little goo gone can't fix.

the price i got my hushmat for was even more expensive than dynamat. works awesome though but from what i have seen and knocked on the raammat it wasnt bad either. (i bought my hushmat local) seems to me someone ran a rest 1 layer vs 1 layer and the raammat was better though...could be wrong as I did a search but cant find it.....
