sound deadening fiberglass speaker pods

What is the best way to sound deaden fiberglass speaker pods? They are completely sealed with the tweeter and 6.5 both in it. They are alpine type x's. I just sound deadened the front doors(same speakers) and it made me realize that the rear pods now need deadened. Any help would be appriceated and I couldn't find anything in the sticky. Thanks

PS, would the pods help if I cut a hole in the back of it so it wasn't completely sealed?

Non-hardening modeling clay works very well.

PS, would the pods help if I cut a hole in the back of it so it wasn't completely sealed?

Depends on the speakers. Since it's 'glass.....if you have some free time, try it out. Vent them into the door. If it sounds worse...seal the hole back up with 'glass.

I tend to spray deaden most glass pods because of the shape. As for the holes it would depend upon what it's firing into. It is speaker pods in the back of a custom van. I made a partition wall and they are on the top right and left corners. They would be vented to the inside of the wall. The speakers are alpine type x's 6.5. The pods are not in the door.

Doesn't matter if it's a door or a wall. Just as long as the backwave is still separated from the frontwave.

Thank you, I think I will vent it into the wall, put spike foam in the pod and in the wall after puting some sound deatener on the inside of the pod. I think the vent into the wall will give it more room to breath.
