Sound Deadening a f250 and Peel and seal?

Peel n' seal is NOT sound deadening.It's a roofing product.

I use(d) P&S. At first it wouldn't stick at all. First the cold Michigan Winter unstuck most of it, then the hot Michigan Summer pulled off what did stick. I got around this by buying one of those $2 cans of spray on deadener. I applied a single layer of that, then re-applied the P&S directly to the sprayed on deadener - it hasn't given me any trouble since.
