Hey guys I see a lot of you recommending Audiotechnix and Soundddeadenershowdown, also a few for knukonceptz or secondskin. I have a 95 Grand Prix and want to cover my trunk, rear deck, and doors to start with to see if I can get rid of my rattles and some road noise. Which would be better for ease of applying and long term use? They are all around $100 to $150 for 40 square feet so price is about the same. And also would that be enough to do the areas I want? Sorry I know there are alot of which is better and so on but I would like a best for my application answer and thanks for any help.

I got 10 sq ft of audio technix deadener and put it on my roof and stopped all of my rattles from the roof, im gonna get 40 more sq ft for my doors, rear deck, and trunk, that's what I'd get

If you talk to pro-rabbit (he's a vendor and a mod on here) he's actually tested a lot of the deadeners and knows first hand what works and what doesn't, etc. Send him a pm. He's a good man. Likes to help people out...

That's what my local shop recommends but I've heard good and bad about it. How long has yours held up for ya? Longevity has been a complaint I've heard. Thanks again for the replies guys.

Ok guys just ordered 40 ft of 60 mil AT it should be here next thursday. Anything I should know to help with my install?
Clean the areas well, and don't bother putting it anywhere that isn't flattish sheet metal(see edit). Those are your problem areas, and the only ones deadener will give you a noticeable improvement at. If plastic, trim, etc is rattling, place pieces of foam inbetween the offending object, and what it's

striking.

Edit: I, and many others, completely cover the metal under the door panel with deadener, with good results. It's not always flat metal, but the point of doing it is to prevent the rear sound waves from causing cancellation.

Sorry falcon but until they make a 100% match search engine you'll keep getting this problem. I did try to research it before posting and I got several different answers on all the different pages. If you have a problem with them just stop looking at them is what I'd recommend. And thank the rest of you for always helping someone in need. As for my trunk lid do I cover the whole thing or just the flat parts that are raised up for bracing?

Also if you are doing your trunk lid and you cant fit foam in between the panels on the lid and the bracing that is below the lid use great stuff expanding foam, or something similar, helps out a ton, works very good, just make sure not to foam any moving pieces. Get a couple rolls of weather stripping as well from your local lowes or home depot. will help out on areas where 2 things are banging together.

I have a full install log on here some where of a full SDS install. The difference was tremendous, and Don is extremely helpful and easily the most knowledgeable on the products/materials.
